Record what a program did

Counts are how Ember knows what your program did. Enter them by period or by day, and your reach, goals and reports update on their own.

Enter a count

Open the program in Programs
Find the Reach card.
Press Enter a count
The sheet asks for this period's count.
Fill in each measure and the date
Pick the day it happened. The date picker stops at today. Adding what it was, such as a Saturday distribution, is optional.
Press Save count
Reach, goal progress and Impact Reports include it straight away.

For a number goal, you can also open it and press Add progress. An amount to raise moves with income in Budget instead.

Press Add a reflection
It is on the program's Reflections card, under How did this week go?
Write a win and one thing you'd change
Both are short. The reflection is filed under this week.
Press Save reflection
Wins can appear in Impact Reports under In our words.

The win is meant to be shared and can appear in Impact Reports. The thing you'd change stays with your team and never goes to funders.

Your public page, only for measures you switch to show on your website. It shows the last 12 months.

The measure I want to count isn't in the list.

Enter a count lists measures that have a goal, or that already have counts this month. Add a goal on that measure first, then it appears.

Does Ember count people automatically from volunteer shifts?

No. Counts are always entered by hand, so they match what actually happened.

Can I add a new thing to track?

Yes. An owner or admin opens Edit program and adds it under What you track. A unit that a goal or counts already use cannot be removed.
