What counts as a nonprofit impact story?
A moment behind the numbers: a line someone said, a photo from the day, a small win that shows the work mattered. Capture it as a line and tag it to the program it came from.
How does consent work?
Every moment starts Internal, safe by default. To share it more widely you record a release: who gave permission and what it covers, funders and board or fully public. If a minor is in it, you note the guardian. A moment's scope stays as restrictive as the most careful person in it. Read our privacy commitment.
Can I attach a story to a program?
Yes. Tag each moment to a program, then filter the story bank by that program to see every moment it produced in one place.
How do stories help with reports and appeals?
Moments cleared for funders or the public show up in Impact Reports as quotes you could use, right beside the words you write for your funder page. A public moment you choose can also appear on your public page. Nothing is dropped into your words for you.
What about a crowd photo with no one recognizable?
Mark it as a crowd or scene and it needs no release. You can clear it for funders or the public right away, since no one in it needs to give permission.
Who on our team can capture a moment?
