Every tier gets the whole suite, from donors, volunteers and grants to programs, hours and reporting, with unlimited users and nothing held back as an add-on.
One flat price
You pay one flat rate for your budget range, never a share of your budget, so adding donors or staff doesn’t add to your bill. Compare it with what your tools cost now.
You pick your range
Pick your annual budget range when you set up, and if you file a Form 990, its total revenue is a good guide. When your budget changes, change your range. If you already pay by card, the new price starts at your next renewal; moving onto a paid range from the free tier takes you to the payment step.

Is it really free?
Yes. Ember is free for nonprofits with budgets under $50K a year, with unlimited users and no credit card. Budgets from $50K to $1M pay one flat price for their range, and over $1M we set a fair price together. Every tier includes every app.
How do you know our budget?
You tell us! When you set up your organization, you pick the range your annual budget falls in, and if you file a Form 990, its total revenue is a good guide.
We don’t file a Form 990. How do we pick our range?
Just use your total annual budget and pick the range it falls in. Churches, brand-new nonprofits and groups too small to file a 990 all choose this way.
What if our budget changes?
Change your range on the Subscription page whenever your budget does, up or down. If you already pay by card, no money moves that day and the new price starts at your next renewal. Moving up from the free tier takes you to checkout. Over $1M? Contact us to change your plan.
Is there a per-seat fee?
Never. You pay one flat rate for your budget band, however many users, volunteers or donor records you add.
Can we pay by invoice?
Yes. Ask for one on the Subscription page, yearly or monthly, and someone at Ember will email it to you, with your purchase order number if you have one.
Do we have to be a 501(c)(3)?
No. Ember is for nonprofits and the people starting them: grassroots groups, all-volunteer teams, fiscally sponsored projects, and founders still getting set up.
