Only an owner or admin can turn apps on or off. Apps settings are easiest to reach from a computer.
Turn apps on or off
Open Apps
On a computer, press the + tile at the bottom of your apps in the sidebar. Or press the gear next to your organization's name and choose Apps.
Tap an app to turn it on or off
Each tap saves straight away. There is no Save button.
Find it in the sidebar
Apps you turn on appear in your organization's sidebar, in the order Ember uses them.
The apps
| App | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Spark | Everything you need to form and fund your nonprofit, step by step. |
| Programs | Set a goal for every program, and watch what it adds up to. |
| Volunteers | Bring your community to the work and keep them coming back. |
| Web | A public home for your work, so supporters and volunteers can find you. |
| Work | Focus on what matters most and end each week with more done. |
| Time | See where your team's time goes and put it where it counts. |
| Budget | Give every program its own budget, so you can spend with confidence. |
| Grants | Stay on top of every deadline and see more grants land. |
| Giving | Welcome gifts of every kind and let no one go unthanked. |
| Board Hub | Meetings, packets and minutes in one place, not in an inbox. |
| Compliance | Stay in good standing and never wonder what you missed. |
| Stories | Capture every moment and see your impact come alive. |
| Impact Reports | See how much your year added up to. |
What turning an app off does
- It hides the app from your sidebar. Nothing in it is deleted, and turning it back on brings everything back.
- At least one app stays on. Turning off the last one shows "Keep at least one app turned on."
- Turning off Volunteers removes the offer to volunteer from your public page's sign-up for updates.
- Turning off Time stops its weekly emails: timesheet reminders to staff and the timesheet summary for owners and admins.
