Switch between organizations
Go to Home
On a computer, press the Ember logo at the top of the sidebar. Home lists every organization you work in, with your role. Places you only volunteer are in your volunteer portal.
Open the one you want
Ember opens the right place for your role there. Owners and admins land on the organization's Home page, and staff and coordinators on Work. Board members land on Board Hub, and volunteers on their volunteer portal.
You can also open My organizations in your account settings. On a phone, use the gear at the top right.
Create another organization
On Home, press Create a new organization
A form opens. You will be the owner.
Fill in the details
Choose the kind of organization, then enter its legal name, website, address and time zone. The EIN and a one-line mission are optional.
Confirm and press Create organization
Tick the box to say you can represent the organization and that its volunteering is lawful unpaid work.
Turn on apps and set your budget
An organization made this way starts with no apps on. Turn on the apps you need, and set your annual budget on the Subscription page.
If the organization is already on Ember
If the name or EIN matches one already on Ember, the form says This organization may already be on Ember. Press Ask to join to join it instead, so your records stay together. An owner or admin there sees your request in their Team settings and can add you. They are not sent an email about it, so let them know you asked.
